SEX SHOP MUSHROOMS

Paris has a grunge problem — and its name is Sex Shop Mushrooms.

Formed in late 2022, they built their name on a simple, uncompromising mantra: Break Norms, Sound Loud. 

At the crossroads of 90s grunge and modern energy, their debut album God Doesn’t Exist hit hard on release in October 2024 — racking up half a million streams, hundreds of physical sales, and praise from Rolling Stone, Libération, and Oui FM. The Seattle comparisons came fast, and they were earned.

With over 80 concerts across France under their belts, their stage presence — swinging between moments of pure rage and introspective calm — leaves crowds shaken and wanting more. They’ve stormed the main stage at Xtreme Fest, opened for Pogo Car Crash Control at the Fête de l’Huma, and packed out legendary Parisian rooms like La Boule Noire and Point Éphémère.

Now they go further. Their second album 131217, released January 2026, was mixed and mastered by Seattle legend Jack Endino — gritty, chaotic, and unapologetically alive.
